If Jesus called out to you, “Come, follow me,” what would you do? We are called to respond to God through faith in Jesus Christ. That requires for each one of us to trust Him and to follow Him. You cannot trust or follow anyone if you don’t know who they are and where they are going.
At Marvin Church, we believe being a disciple of Jesus Christ is a life-long calling. Disciple means “student” and we are called to be a student of Jesus all the days we are here on earth. A disciple must learn God’s Word (the Bible), understand God’s plan, be a part of a community of faith, and much more. We do not discover this on our own, but by learning to be a disciple of Jesus together in a church.
There are weekly studies available throughout the year, and there is a library filled with books and literature to help you learn and grow in your faith. Every fall and spring we have a church-wide emphasis at Marvin Church, which gives the entire church an opportunity to explore, discover and learn together.
Visit our Churchwide Emphasis page for information about Lent.
